About Me

Hey there! My name is Rob Jones and I’m a freelance User Interface Designer in Austin, Texas. I’ve worn so many hats during my career, I feel like I need a second head. Currently, I make the world a little better one screen at a time.

Before working for myself, I was fortunate enough to work at frog design here in Austin; prior to that, I was a UI designer at enterprise startup for 5 years.

I started designing for the web in 1994; two of my first sites were the first General Aviation website (now landings.com) and Wavefront Technologies (my employer back in the day, one of the first 3D software companies).

While most of my time these days is spent on user research, wireframes and flows, I am fairly up to date technically. Lately I have been working with responsive web design; I coded this site to better familiarize myself with the space.

If you want to learn about my thoughts on design and development, be sure to check out my blog.
